Aysha Ahad was the main photographer at this event.  I was videotaping the Walima reception and also taking some photographs on the side.  Shabib and Nadia were super cool.  They did everything we asked them with poses and some.  They were laughing all night and made us feel like we were with the family at the event and not as guests.  Mrs Zareen (Shabib’s Mother) called me a few days before the reception and asked us to cover the event at the last minute.  Below are some pictures and links.

Darin Fong Photography asked me to assist his associate photographer Pamela Scott

for Lauren &  Ryan’s wedding on September 6th 2008.  This is the first time I shot as a 2nd shooter and I must say it was a blast.  No stress about managing the event :) All I had to do was be creative and shoot away.

Sheraz and Diana came over to my studio and decided to hire me the same day. They were a great couple to work with throughout the entire process. Sheraz also mentioned my work in one of his blogs which I greatly appreciate! The couple hired me for their wedding reception (Walima) in December; however they asked me to shoot a smaller reception prior to the actual reception which is to take place at the end of this year. This event was great, the bride and groom both looked wonderful. They were all also very hospitable, making sure we had drinks and had eaten dinner, which was also a very nice gesture. The groom is so talented and creative that he did his own decorations! The center pieces were so beautiful and I found out towards the end of the night that he had done them himself! At the end of the night, Mehreen came by to help with the slide show, which turned out to be beautiful!

This wedding was a last minute wedding. The bride called me a few days prior to the actual wedding reception and asked if I was available, and it so happened to be that I was. Umair was also interested in attending the wedding and learning some new things about photography. Overall, the wedding was great, the bride looked gorgeous and she had two adorable daughters. The couple was fun and easy to work with which made this event a great success.

Mehreen, Monica and I photographed this beautiful wedding.  After shooting for an hour we realized that the brides mother was a very close friend of Mehreen’s family.  This helped our team because it made if a lot easier and enjoyable to work with the couple. Shaizar and Irem were very fun to work with. Mehreen and Monica helped with some of the poses and Irem had a great time; although she was shy at times, the end result was flawless.

July 5th, 2008

This was a very hectic weekend.  I photographed and videotaped 3 different functions.  Tasneem & Asif got married at Crystal Rose Center.  Tasneem and her sister-in-law Ridwana booked us a few months back.  The wedding was very well planned out and was a mixture of two cultures.  She had a Muslim wedding with a few western ideas.

I photographed Alex and Emma’s wedding a few weeks back. Summer has been so busy for us and we are finally getting around to updating our blog. Alex and Emma got married at the Christmas House in Rancho Cucamonga California. It was a nice small family wedding. Sonia, Mehreen (who left early ) and I photographed the wedding.

Our first Pakistani wedding in 2008 was last weekend at the Pomona Valley Mining Company. Mr. Khalili booked us via email so we only had email and telephone correspondence. It’s always a bit scary showing up to a wedding where we have never met the bride and groom, but the Khalili family were so incredible to work with! The wedding was very hectic but we had alot of fun. Eric Tom and Dave tagged along to assist with the photography and their photos look amazing. RI Flowers by Rukhsana Ibrahim setup the stage and decorations for this wedding and her work looked amazing. I must say it was her best stage I have seen so far.

The ceremony was held at Chapel In The Wildwood.

The reception was held at Cynthia’s house in Ontario, CA

Cynthia’s brother Glenn found out about our photography a few weeks before and hired us as a gift for his sister. Glenn and his family were so kind to us at the wedding. His mom and dad made us feel like we were family. This was such a beautiful relaxing wedding, the bride looked gorgeous and the groom wasn’t that bad :)
